Conflict/Responsible Minerals Policy
SK hynix system ic actively participates in international efforts to minimize negative effects on the outside and environment, such as human rights violations and environmental destruction that may occur during mineral mining. SK hynix system ic recognizes environmental and human rights issues arising in conflict areas as serious ethical issues and guide suppliers to responsibly procure minerals in accordance with current global standards through the agent to limit the use of conflict/responsible minerals that are unethically mined in these areas.

In order to verify if the suppliers are purchasing and procuring minerals from RMAP*⑴ certified smelters, we regularly check the smelters information using templates provided by the RMI(Responsible Minerals Initiative)*⑵.

SK hynix system ic will continue to make efforts to provide products that have gone through a legal and ethical distribution process to customers.
1) RMAP(Responsible Minerals Assurance Process): Responsible Minerals certification program created by RMI Assurance that there are no problems such as human rights violations, environmental destruction, and inflow of funds from conflict organizations.
2) RMI(Responsible Minerals Initiative): Joint consultative body for global companies in respect of minerals at risk in the mining process.
Conflict/Responsible Minerals Define
In addition to conflict minerals unethically mined in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and surrounding conflict areas, it is identified whether minerals subject to human rights violations or environmental destruction in the mining process are purchased and procured from RMAP-certified smelters.
